Just before leaving the dock at Costa Baja at 7:00 a.m.

The Dockwise ship, Super Servant III already partially submersed and ready to load boats.

Paul Meaney----Again

About 6 years ago we were at a pizza place in Seattle after a Puget Sound Cruisers' Club meeting. Talkin'
smack about boating, you know, swapping lies and tellin' tales. So I mentioned that Marcy and I were taking our boat down the coast to Mexico. Paul is sitting at the table and asks if we are going to need crew. Yes, I say as a smile dawns. Turns out he had crewed with another couple the year before from Seattle to San Francisco. So we were on, one crew signed up and ready to go. I guess we were going to have to go for sure now. He did crew with us to SF and then again later on the Baja HaHa.

Well, yesterday we met up with Paul and wife Judy at their boat Grace here in LaPaz. They are in their first season cruising Mexico. After a couple cervezas, off we went to Bandidos for burgers. Meanwhile, Charm is ready to go. It is prepared for the Dockwise ship that will take her  from here to Nanaimo, BC. And, just to close the circle, Paul and Judy will meet us here at Marina Costa Baja in the morning and help us with lines driving onto Dockwise.

Charm's Mexican experience drawing to a close

We are trying to cool it here in Marina Costa Baja, La Paz. We have shade, but every day the temps are now hitting 100+. We are getting Charm ready to head for the NW on Dockwise's ship Super Servant III. It arrives Friday, 13, 2011. Just a few days away.  It will begin to load at 8 a.m. on Saturday.
It's a daily walk over to the pool at the hotel here for some mid day cooling off. This is a state of the art marina. But not as much fun as Marina Mazatlan.

Back in Mazatlan, our condominio is nearing completion. It will be ready for us to move in when we come back to Mexico in the fall. May take us a while to furnish and make it our second home.

The kitchen cabinets are in--now waiting on granite counter tops and appliances.
